With a recent mini-grant, the Hastings Middle School football team added brand-new 12 lb, heavy-duty foam tackling dummies to their practice field this season.

The mini-grant program is unique because it is youth funding youth! Each year, the Barry Community Foundation YAC awards thousands of dollars to local non-profits supporting young people across our community.

Our players and coaches really appreciate the support!

🏛️ Washington, D.C. Trip Parent Meeting – Wednesday, September 16! 🏛️

Attention 8th Grade families! Our parent meeting for the upcoming Washington, D.C. trip will be held this Wednesday, September 16, at 6:00 p.m. in the Hastings Middle School Commons.

This meeting is for students and families who are already registered or are still interested in joining the trip. We will share important, up-to-date information and provide fundraising packets.

We know Wednesday evening can be busy, especially with football and cheerleading activities. If you are unable to attend, please have your student connect with Ms. Tibble, or parents can email her directly for more information:

💙💛 **Go Saxons!**

We want to extend an overdue "thank you" to the Hastings Rotary Club and Hastings Kiwanis, who teamed up last week to graciously pack and donate hygiene packs to have on hand at our high school and middle school. These are two great service organizations that make a huge difference in our community and schools!

Hastings Middle School students are AMAZING and we want to reward them for doing a great job! We have a weekly PRIDE (Personal Responsibility, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, & Engagement) store where they can spend their tickets they earn for doing the right thing.

In order for it to stay interesting and fun for our students, we need your help! We have put together an Amazon wishlist, but things do not have to be purchased through Amazon. Aldi, Dollar Tree and more are just as great to us! Our kids enjoy trinkets, individually wrapped candy, theater box candy, chips, snack cakes — really anything! If you are able, we would love your help making this school year the best EVER!
