Ski and Snowboard Club Documents 2025-26

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AS MANY THINGS HAVE CHANGED  AGAIN THIS YEAR WITH SKI CLUB!

Bittersweet continues to change how they are managing ski and snowboard clubs. Their focus is on kids learning to ski or board and not just on the discounts. It is still valuable to join as their regular rates have increased. Going twice covers the cost of the card. See Website for regular price information.

All HASS students are welcome to join the ski club and adults are also welcome to join.  We will only be taking the school van on ski club trips so transportation will be VERY LIMITED. Middle School students wishing to ride in the van will need to sign up in the office and High School students wishing to ride in the van must text or email Mrs. Laubaugh to reserve their seat.  

If you are planning on skiing or boarding on a ski club date, but not using school transportation, you MUST PRE PURCHASE your lift ticket/rental from Mrs. Laubaugh. Contact her to make purchase arrangements.

CARD INFORMATION:

Cards will only be valid on Fridays (all day except for Holiday periods) and after 3:00 on Sundays. During Holiday periods cards will be valid ONLY on Sundays after 3:00pm.

Holiday periods are December 19-January 2, January 16-19, February 13-16.

TRIP INFORMATION:

Ski club trips will be on the following dates:  January 9, 23, 30, February 6 and 20 (day trip).

Ski club trips will depart at 3:30 from HMS and return at 9:30 except for February 20 when we will leave at 9:30 and return at 5:00.  We will ONLY be taking the school van so trip space will be very limited. You are not required to use the club transportation but must pre purchase your lift ticket from Mrs. Laubaugh if skiing or riding on a trip date.  You can use your card on your own on any non-Holiday Friday and Sunday after 3:00.

COST INFORMATION:

- Club Cards - $32 (One-time fee that includes a free lesson!)
- Student Lift Ticket - $32 (Paid each visit to Bittersweet)
- Student Rental - $32 (Paid each visit to Bittersweet)
- Helmet Rental - $15 (Paid each visit to Bittersweet) 
- Van Ticket - $5 (Paid each visit to Bittersweet) 
- Adult Lift Ticket & Rental - $35 each 
 
Paperwork is available online or in the HMS and HHS office. All paperwork needs to be turned into the HMS or HHS office. Checks for cards need to be made out to: Hastings Area Schools. Do not send lift ticket or rental money with card money!
