FREE PHYSICALS are offered by the Athletic Department before the start of the school year for all Hastings students in grades 5 and up. Those physicals are used for the following school year. Information is available by the start of summer. Download a copy of the MHSAA Physical Form:

The athletic program at Hastings Middle School is an integral part of the educational process. Athletics offer a positive and meaningful experience that will enhance the growth and development of all young men and women who participate.

The Hastings Middle School Athletic program is made up of 11 sports programs open to all 7th and 8th grade students and 4 programs for 6th grade students. (Boys & girls cross country, volleyball, cheer, boys and girls basketball, wrestling, football, tennis, boys and girls track.) 6th graders are able to compete in cross country, wrestling, track and tennis. Those athletes that take part in the tryouts or programs in Hastings must have a doctor's physical on file in the Athletic office. 

 

All athletes are also required to meet academic requirements throughout the sports season. If an athlete does not meet those academic requirements, he/she will not participate in interscholastic competition.
